This is a collection of sketches from the Architecture of the City class during my time studying abroad in Rome, Italy. The course aimed to trace the architectural history of the city and its buildings from its foundation to the beginning of the XX century, with a focus on the urban form and morphology of its most significant transversal roadway, the Papal Route, or “Via Papalis.” On-site sessions consisted of walking around the city and sketching in short time spans, to begin to understand the complexity of the urban spaces.
